The Gentleman
A quiet authority on how one ought to behave.
Sir Oinkston keeps rooms in London, a standing table on the Riviera and a terrier of firm opinions named Wellington. He takes his tea at four, his exercise at six, and no notice whatsoever of trends.
He is not a comedian. He has never told a joke in his life. That the modern world finds him amusing is the modern world's affair — he is merely maintaining a standard everyone else has quietly abandoned.
